Katie Cagle

Kathryn “Katie” Cagle was born and raised in North Georgia. She and her family have been actively involved in her community and various civic organizations to help promote the North Georgia area, preserve its history, and make the area a better place for future generations. Katie obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor Education from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. There, she spent a semester of observation at Headstart in Tate, Georgia under the supervision of House Education Chairman, Rick Jasperse’ wife, Marcia Jasperse. Her experience in Headstart encouraged her to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University in Atlanta to eventually become a Licenced Professional Counselor (LPC). Katie’s focuses in her studies are on trauma, family systems, and suicidology. Katie has worked on several political campaigns since high school, including a gubernatorial and presidential campaign. She has been actively involved in engaging the youth in the political process and become involved in their communities to secure the future. Katie is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the First Baptist Church of Jasper. She has a border collie named Bonnie.
